I am really enjoying the Olympics this year and wondered who would get the closest to the medal count. I checked and there are 90 medal events so some of us are being unrealistically optimistic. Here are the totals of what we all guessed. A running count of the US medals to date is below.

Here is the list of Academy Awards Best Picture Nominations.... obviously some of our predictors are ruled out as their movie did not get nominated. For some of them, I wonder if the movie was even released in 2009.
